MY BADGET!

Today, my teacher gave me a badget: ACTIVE STUDENT. I won it because I was working hard all the year: I did lots of homework, I studied many new things related to Grammar, passed my tests and of course I have uploaded lots of posts to my blog... Thank you very much, Mrs. García, I am very happy for it!

HAPPY SUMMER!

My marks are very good this year!

I will enjoy this Summer because I will go to New York with my dad. I will stay there for a week. I will watch all the matches of the Brazilian World Cup. In August, I will stay in Malaga with my mum and my brother and, in September, I will go to Granada with my grandma for one week too.

THIS SUMMER WILL BE TERRIFIC!

MY FAVOURITE TASK

I was revising all the tasks I did in Secondary school, and I have chosen my favourite one. My favourite task is the role-play about the book Frankenstein. Some months ago, I read the book Frankenstein and Gema, Noelia and I did a role-play about wedding night's scene. I enjoyed it a lot! We liked the book and we did many activities about it. The video is very funny, because it has special effects. We also did a video called News worldwide. In that video we acted like reporters and after that, I performed like the King Juan Carlos, it was so funny too!

I LOVE FOOTBALL

My favourite sport is football. I enjoy playing football because I like to run around the football pitch and to control the ball. I like to be a goalkeeper or a defender. I don't like to do goals, I like to save them. In football, you must put the ball into the goal, you shouldn't do fouls, and you should pass the ball to your teammates. I play football since I was eight years old approximately. I was in a football team, but I did not want to play like a forward. I remember when three years ago I saved a goal and all my teammates were surprised. Next summer, I will play football a lot with my friends and in the future, I will be a sport journalist, I love football! My favourite football teams are Real Madrid FC and Malaga FC. My favourite football players are:

-Wesley Sneijder (Galatasaray SK).
-Iker Casillas (Real Madrid FC).
-Francisco 'Isco' Alarcón (Malaga FC).
-Wilfredo 'Willy' Caballero (Malaga FC).

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2014

Eurovision Song Contest 2014 starts next Saturday. The contest is taking place in Copenhagen (Denmark), and it is the 59^th contest. This year 37 countries are going to participate. Ruth Lorenzo, a young woman who sings Dancing in the rain, will represent Spain. United Kingdom will be the last one, and the British singer will be Molly, who sings the song Children of the Universe. Sergej Ćetković, Montenegro's singer, and the French group TWIN TWIN are the only ones who are not going to sing in English. Sweden is the favourite one. I love Eurovision contest, because every people enjoy the festival. My favourite songs are:

-Sanna Nielsen - Undo (Sweden).

-Aram MP3 - Not alone (Armenia).

-András Kállay-Saunders - Running (Hungary).

-Sebalter - Hunter of stars (Switzerland).

-Softengine - Something better (Finland).

ENGLISH IS GREAT!

English is the official language of 54 different countries around the world, and is spoken over 1 billion and a half people worldwide approximately! English is used in Education, Science and Technology for example. English is becoming more and more important in some jobs like medicine, business and computing.

Historical people like William Shakespeare and King James had a very important influence in English language. Many words in English language come from Latin or Germanic. English language caught ten thousands new words from Normands. English language chose some words from India like yoga and bungalow; some words from Africa like voodoo and zombie; and some words from Australia like nugget and boomerang.

EASTER

Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter's date is 20th April 2014, because the date is not the same every year. Many Americans follow the tradition of coloring eggs and giving baskets of candy.

In some countries like Denmark, Finland or Norway, both Easter Sunday and Easter Monday are public holidays. Many businesses give to their employees the week off, called Easter break.

In Italy, people use to eat the Easter cake, called the ''Colomba Pasquale'' made of flour, eggs, sugar, butter, almonds and candied fruit, it must be yummy!!

THE WHEEL

I think the most important invention is the wheel, because people can go away by car or by bus, for example; and people can visit places thank to it.
Things can be moved from one place to another without problems.
The earliest wheels were made by wood. We can see wheels in India's flag and Romani's flag.
The wheel is very important today for human beings. I think that the wheel won't disappear because it is so important. We use the wheel everyday; and many objects have wheels like some chairs, tables,...

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

Yesterday was Saint Patrick's Day. Many people around the world wore green shirts or green trousers, and clover, of course. I saw in internet some photos of clover, rainbows and green clothes.

SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY

In Saint Valentine's Day, I found two songs. One of them is about love, and the other one is about loveless. I invented two stories about how were created the songs too.

Love song:

This is the happy story of a young man and a young woman. They were introduced each other in a party and they were both University students. It was first sight love, because from the very first moment they saw soon each other they fell in love. That evening they talked and laughed a lot together. After that day she was in all his dreams, where they ran, enjoyed and kissed a lot. After some years, they got married and had a child. He used to tell her 'You are my treasure' and that is the reason he decided to compose this song, calling it 'Treasure'.

Loveless song:

This is a sad love story about a young man who wrote this song when he was getting divorced. He cried a lot during those days and as a result, he was totally devastated and sad, obviously. Thanks to a friend who supported him, he decided to write this love song explaining all about his divorce and after a time he started to sing it while he was still loving her, but finally after some time struggling he could survive all his troubles and he is all right and happy again.

The author, Robert Louis Stevenson:

Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was born on 1850 in Edinburgh (Scotland) and he died on 1894 in Apia (Samoa). He was a Scottish novelist, poet and essayist. Robert studied law, but he wanted to be a writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped and Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Stevenson now ranks among the 26 most translated authors in the world. Many other writers like Arthur Conan Doyle or Jorge Luis Borges admired his work. He had married with Fanny Van de Grift Osbourne, from Indianapolis. In Samoa, people from there called to Robert 'Tusitala' (the storyteller). He died when he was forty-four years old because of tuberculosis.
