TREASURE ISLAND

A summary of the book Treasure Island made by Captain Smollett:





The author, Robert Louis Stevenson:
Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was born on 1850 in Edinburgh (Scotland) and he died on 1894 in Apia (Samoa). He was a Scottish novelist, poet and essayist. Robert studied law, but he wanted to be a writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped and Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Stevenson now ranks among the 26 most translated authors in the world. Many other writers like Arthur Conan Doyle or Jorge Luis Borges admired his work. He had married with Fanny Van de Grift Osbourne, from Indianapolis. In Samoa, people from there called to Robert 'Tusitala' (the storyteller). He died when he was forty-four years old because of tuberculosis.
