CHRISTMAS

Now, I want to learn some more about typical foods at Christmas Day in some countries.

In Spain, Christmas Eve is celebrated with a large family feast. We eat prawns, ham, cheese, shellfish soup, roast lamb and Spanish crumble cakes.

In Italy, they eat 'primo', which is a soup with pasta. After that, they eat poultry or the fried capitone eel. Finally, the typic dessert is the panettone.

In Denmark, they ear roast pork with duck and potatoes. The dessert is 'Risalamande' (rice pudding with cherry or strawberry sauce).

Last week, I found a video in Internet about our history in two minutes and eleven seconds. When I saw it, I was surprised because it was incredible!

MY FRANKENSTEIN'S PROJECT

Last month, we have read the book 'Frankenstein' in class. The teacher asked us some questions about the book in class; and she gave us some questionnaires to fill in. We have read chapter by chapter and we have done a reading test some days ago.

My group (Noelia, Gema and myself) have written a powerpoint about the life of Mary Shelley and we have acted a part of the book. I wore a typical suit of that period.

THANKSGIVING DAY

I must give thanks to many people.

I am thankful for my family, because they always help and support me when I need them. I am thankful for my mother and my grandma in special, because they are the half of my life.

I am grateful to my good friends, because they always support me, they trust me, and they always make me happy and make me laugh. Without them, I would be sad.

I am thankful to all my teachers, from my Primary School teachers to my last teachers, all of them, taught me many new things about education, language and life.

However, there are many people I don't know yet. Some of them I can't put in a group like 'Family' or 'Friends', but they are specials to me too.

I am lucky to learn every day. Monday or Saturday, every day I learn something, and I am thankful for it!

MY FAVOURITE FILM

I have not got a favourite film, I like many films like 'Deep Blue Sea', 'Deep Impact' or 'Sinister'. The last film that I saw is 'Beast's Territory'. 'Beast's Territory' is about a group of tourists that visit a swamp in Australia, where they hoped to see cocodriles.

They were hit by a cocodrile and a lot of them died. At last, only five tourists and the two main characters were alive.

I like horror films and if I see the film at night, I like it even more!

POPPY'S DAY

The last weekend I searched information about Poppy's Day, and I found this information in a web page. Poppy's Day (also known as Remembrance Day), is a commemorative day celebrated on 11th November, since the end of the World War I and remember the members of their armed forces who died. People used to wear a red poppy in the shirt or in anywhere.

HALLOWEEN AND THE CHILDREN

On Halloween's day, children wear costumes of monsters, ghosts, pumpkins,... They go to all the houses they can and they say to the owner of the house: 'Trick or treat'. If the owner of the house says 'trick', the children can throw eggs to the door of the house. If the owner of the house says 'treat', he or she must gives candies to the children. Other people give chocolate or another type of food to the children. Children enjoy this day so much, more than adults. At schools, teachers usually they carry out candies to the students the next day. I recommend you tell treat.

ABOUT MYSELF.

Hi, my name is Mario, I am 15 and I am from Malaga (Spain). I live with my mum and my brother.

I am in the bilingual section of my school. I love Geography and History, but I hardly pass Maths and Physic.

I like football and basket, and I love listening to music. I am a boy scout.

My favourite music group is Maldita Nerea. I like Real Madrid and Malaga FC, and I like some football players like Iker Casillas, Isco, Willy Caballero and Iniesta. I like mysterious, apocalyptic films.

I am an optimistic, cheerful and creative person. I consider myself a good person. I love writing, reading books, and traveling around the world. During my life, I went to different places in the world like Casablanca (Morocco), Roma (Italy) or Paris (France)… and some places in Spain like Salamanca, Caceres, Barcelona, Madrid, A Coruña, Valencia…

I met six teachers in my school that influence on my life a lot. I never forget them.

In the future, I will study at University and I will be a sport's journalist. So every day as you can see I want to struggle to make my dreams come true.
